Towards the end of 2008 we obtained planning permission to extend our three bedroomed semi-detached house to create the following additional space;
- A side extension to provide an integral garage,two additional bedrooms,downstairs utility and shower room.
- A further extension to the rear of our property to create a ‘live-in’ kitchen and also a downstairs office.
- A conservatory.
- A complete re landscaping of the rear garden.
Through our architect we put the work out to competitive tender and chose Shane Mather/Burnside Building Services Limited to complete the project. From the initial meeting with Shane we were extremely impressed by his professional approach to discussing with ourselves the work required and suggesting more beneficial ways of completing the building work. Through discussions with Shane as to how to conduct the work pricing was also very competitive.
During the course of the build we were always kept informed as to the expected timescale for the work to be carried out and this timescale was adhered to.
All his staff behaved impeccably and the standard of work was excellent. At the end of each day the workplace was always left clean and tidy, which ,considering the demolition of exterior walls was no mean feat!
Considering that we lived in the property throughout the build any personal inconvenience was kept to a minimum.
We would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Shane and his team to anybody requiring building services and would thank him for a job extremely well done!
